The Level 2 Tethered Charger is being developed for sites that need higher-power AC EV charging with the same simple WattSpot platform experience. It is designed for workplaces, accommodation providers, car parks, and shared sites where a tethered Type 2 cable and faster charging are the right fit.

WattSpot Level 2 is planned for higher-power AC charging where throughput matters most. From workplaces to short-stay accommodation, it is being designed for reliable shared-site use. At 32A, expect approximately 50 km per hour of charge.
WattSpot Level 2 is being developed for shared sites that need faster AC charging, simple driver access, and the same WattSpot visibility, control, and reporting.
The Level 2 charger is expected to include a 5 m Type 2 cable built into the unit. Drivers can plug straight in without bringing a separate charging cable.

Yes. WattSpot is designed to work with all major EV brands. The Level 1 Smart Socket works with compatible EV charging cables, while the Level 2 Tethered Charger is planned to use a standard Type 2 tethered cable.
Absolutely. When user-pays is enabled, every session is automatically tracked and billed to the individual user through our scan, plug in, and charge flow. Site owners never absorb guest, resident, or staff charging costs unless they choose to.
In most cases, no. WattSpot is typically installed quickly by a licensed electrician. Many sites don’t require additional infrastructure or permits, making deployment simple and cost-effective.
